A Golden Year!

Interior of 15932 on the first ever trip in service
As some of you will know, today (30th September 2013) marks a year of Stagecoach South West's Gold operation. A new service between Torquay - Paignton - Totnes - Dartmouth/Plymouth was launched in competition with First's existing X80/X81 with a half hourly service between Torquay & Totnes, and hourly between Totnes and Dartmouth or Plymouth. The service started with nine 63 plate Scania N230UD/Enviro400's numbered 15924-32 fitted to standard Gold Specification of leather seats, Wi-Fi and carpeted walls.

A year on, and the service is now half hourly to Plymouth (with hourly connections at
Totnes for Dartmouth) and the nine 63 reg Scanias have been joined by 3 14 plate's, YN14OWO/P/R 15961-3 back in May. YN14OWR/P 15962/3 are branded slightly different to the other 10, carrying "English Riviera" branding, allowing the pair to be used on the Paignton - Exeter X46 service when not needed on "GOLD".
15931 & 15961 in Totnes, June 2014
